The Natural Republic

Shortly after the end of the revelation of the Qur'an and the death of the Prophet Mohammed, Muslims splintered into various sects, with each group claiming that they were the only ones who retained the true message of Islam. The unfortunate truth is that none of them had followed the message and teachings of the Qur'an, abandoning it for the message and opinions of their scholars and leaders.

THE NATURAL REPUBLIC is a long overdue attempt to return to the pure teachings of the Qur'an and abandon all sectarianism. However, please note that this book is not for the fainthearted reader as the contents of its pages will be very disturbing to those Muslims who refuse to accept the Oneness of God and insist on setting partners up with Him.

The Natural Republic represents a departure from old parochial nationalism and Islamist fanaticism and argues for a humanist solution to governance based on the teachings of the Quran. It is a wonderful synthesis and a superb thesis. I recommend it highly.

Jamal R. Nassar, Dean - College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, California State University, San Bernardino

The Natural Republic is a groundbreaking work, that challenges the established norms and ideas that Muslims have held for centuries, while at the same time presenting viable solutions for a wide range issues in a reader-friendly format and language. By using a systematic methodology that relies on reason and evidence, this work helps muslims rediscover the ultimate source of Islamic knowledge - the Qur'an. It is a book for those who wish to progress!"

Edip Yuksel - Islamic reformist and writer.

I am encouraged by The Monotheist Group's efforts to rethink the role of Shari'a and adapt it to modern needs. I hope the book begins a constructive and consequential debate.

Dr. Daniel Pipes - Director, Middle East Forum / Columnist, New York Times Syndicate

"Islam has become the number one controversial issue since the beginning of this century. The Natural Republic is a bold attempt to understand Islam from within its only sacred source - The Qur'an - showing that peace, justice, equality, tolerance, and freedom are all key tenants of the divine Scripture...I salute this work."

Dr. Ahmed Subhy Mansour - Former assistant professor at Al-Azhar University in Egypt / President of the International Quranic Center
